Our Services
- Feasibility Studies: Evaluate site suitability and land application options
- Soils and Hydrogeologic Assessment: Soil mapping and testing, ground water characterization, waste constituent transport modeling
- Design Criteria: Determine waste loadings, land area requirements, application equipment, storage requirements, vegetation selection and management
- Nutrient Management Plans: Calculate nitrogen and phosphorus balances and waste loading rates, recommend crop management program, set up record keeping system
- Monitoring Programs: Prepare and implement plans for soil, soil water, vegetation and ground water sampling and analysis; install lysimeters and supervise monitoring well installation; data analysis and reporting
- Operation and Maintenance: Prepare O&M manuals; train operators in irrigation scheduling, site management, monitoring, storage management, vegetation harvesting
- Soil Investigation: Soil borings, test pit inspection, perc tests, boring and pit location using GPS system, soil map preparation using AUTOCAD.
- Design Recommendations: Site suitability, commercial and community systems, alternative systems, out-lot development potential.
- Consultation: Alternatives analysis with builders, developers, installers, homeowners and regulators.
- Site Reconnaissance: Pre-purchase inspection to determine if wetlands are present
- Wetlands Delineation: Soil and vegetation mapping, field delineation, wetland boundary survey using GPS system, map preparation, report submittal to Army Corps of Engineering, follow-up communication
- Wetland Permits: Coordinate Nationwide and Individual Permit submittal, alternatives assessment, mitigation plans
- Stream Buffer Variance: Prepare application to Environmental Protection Division for variance to allow disturbance to 25-ft vegetative buffer along rivers and streams
- Record Search: Federal, State and local records, title search
- Site Inspection: Inspect for hazardous material spills or dumps, underground storage tanks, asbestos containing materials, etc.
- Resident Interviews: Recreate picture of historical land use from owners, long time residents, employees, etc.
- Report Preparation and Consultation: Prepare reports to satisfy Phase I Environmental Site Assessment/All Appropriate Inquiry requirements of ASTM Standard E1527-05. Consult with buyers, sellers, lenders and legal teams regarding pre-purchase decision-making.
Erosion and Sediment Control Failure Studies
- Site Inspections: Inspect streams and riparian buffers for limits of impact from failure of erosion and sediment control structures
- Remediation Recommendations: Prepare inspection report with recommendations for removing sediment from floodplain and stream channels, as appropriate
- Coordination with Regulators: Oral and written communication with County and State Inspectors to minimize project down time.
